  The Pinstripe Pigeon Band è nato inizialmente   come un modesto  ma ambizioso progetto  che incorporava il senso ed il valore  ispirati da Jon Hopkins, Nile Rogers e Cut Chemist, ma in fretta si è sviluppato in una  forza pop che ha prodotto ben cinque EP tra il 2013 e il 2014 tutti ben accolti dalla critica.

  L’ultima produzione della band è una vetrina intelligente  di un sofisticato pop misto ad  elettronica, funkydelia e a un inneggiante rock. Le canzoni spaziano amorevolmente tra esperienze personali  e  l’umorismo  capace di metabolizzare la disperazione  sia in ambito politico che sociale. Le Vocals appassionate di Kirsty evocano  timbri vicini alla grande Aretha  e  a Dusty.

  La band nel suo complesso assorbe influenze  legate a gruppi come: Fleetwood Mac, The Band, The Beatles, Ryan Adams, Motown, Chic, John Coltrane, The E Street Band and Ben Harper, Stevie Wonder , Oscar Peterson-esqe .

  I loro spettacoli dal vivo, sono molto travolgenti e sono una  corda risonante con ogni nuovo pubblico. La band ha catturato l’attenzione  dei media locali con la BBC e con le  radio e BBC Cumbria. Disponibili anche alcune registrazioni dal vivo del gruppo fatte a  Carlisle Music City.

  Live sets at The Ferret, 53 Degrees and Night & Day  ha lasciato una impronta duratura a Preston e a Manchester, e lo scorso agosto The Pinstripe Pigeon Band hanno preso parte al Kendal Calling Woodland Stage e alcuni loro fans descrivono la partecipazione della band a quell’avvenimento  nuovi fan come a un avvenimento chiave per il Festival.

  Il 2015 vedrà il collettivo pop diffondere le proprie ali ancora più lontane.

  The Pinstripe Pigeon Band began as a modest, yet ambitious studio project, incorporating production values inspired by Jon Hopkins, Nile Rogers and Cut Chemist, but this quickly developed into a seven-strong pop force, releasing five well-received EPs throughout 2013/14.?

  The band’s latest material?showcases intelligent sophisti-pop, electronica, funkadelia and anthemic rock. The lyrics lovingly articulate personal experiences while finding humour in political and social despair. Kirsty’s impassioned vocals hark back to Aretha at her most bombastic and Dusty at her most delicate.

  Collectively, the band soak up songcraft and live influences from Fleetwood Mac, The Band, The Beatles, Ryan Adams, Motown, Chic, John Coltrane, The E Street Band and Ben Harper.

  The band has the benefit of two keyboardists, one melodically inventive Stevie Wonder/Oscar Peterson-esqe pianist and another more classical, akin to?Ludvico Einaudi, both complimenting each other perfectly.
  The energised live show is characterised by rousing intent, hitting a resonant chord with each new audience. The band grabbed the attention of local media with BBC Introducing Lancashire showcasing a live radio session and BBC Cumbria playing a live recording of the group at Carlisle Music City.

  Live sets at The Ferret, 53 Degrees and Night & Day left a lasting impression in Preston and Manchester, and last August The Pinstripe Pigeon Band smashed it at Kendal Calling’s Woodland Stage with new fans and old describing their set as one of the festival’s highlights.

  2015 will see the pop collective spreading its wings further afield, headlining Manchester’s The Castle and Liverpool’s Lomax later in the year.
