New York – settembre 2015 – la cantante italiana, pianista e compositrice Chiara Civello annuncia il suo ritorno negli Stati Uniti questo mese di ottobre con un tour della East Coast a sostegno del l’uscita del disco di “Canzoni” (Songs).
Disponibile dal 9 ottobre su etichetta Quarter Moon via SonyMusic Independent Network (SIN) “Canzoni” è un contemporaneo songbook di canzoni italiane come non le avete mai sentite prima.
Attingendo repertorio di Paolo Conte a Vinicio Capossela, Ennio Morricone passando per Rita Pavone , Subsonica e Negramaro, Chiara crea una celebrazione di canzoni d’amore che si affaccia dall’Italia sul mondo intero. Su Canzoni, il suo quinto album in studio, Chiara ha raccolto una straordinaria serie di collaboratori: il monumentale Gilberto Gil, il poetico Chico Buarque, la diva del pop Ana Carolina e la stella del jazz Esperanza Spalding tutti disponibili a prestare la loro arte al progetto.
I lussureggianti arrangiamenti orchestrali quasi ipnotici sono stati concepiti dal mitico Eumir Deodato.
Il DJ / Producer Nicola Conte ha fornito una miscela affascinante di sensibilità contemporanea e di suoni analogici della vecchia scuola. Chiara segna l’avvio il suo tour Domenica 11 ottobre a New York City nel famoso Joe Bar, che offre agli appassionati di musica italiana una “festa” adatta per la vigilia del Columbus Day. Il Mercoledì 14 ottobre Chiara segna il suo ritorno a Boston, il luogo dove ha segnato una pietra miliare musicale diventando il primo artista italiano ad aver firmato con la storica Verve Records dopo aver conseguito la laurea nel rinomato Berklee College of Music. Chiara sarà poi ospite di una master class per gli studenti del Berklee College il 13 ottobre, prima di salire sul palco dello Scullers Jazz Club, il 14 ottobre. Questo set fa parte della seconda edizione del Boston’s Sounds of Italy Festival. Un altro festival che segue per Chiara è a Miami nell’ambito della settimana della Hit week Italiana Domenica 18 ottobre presso la North Beach Bandshell. A Washington DC presso The Hamilton ospiterà il concerto di chiusura del tour americano previsto per Lunedi 19 ottobre.
New York — September, 2015 — Italian singer, pianist and songwriter Chiara Civello announces her return to the US this October with an East Coast tour in support of the album release of “Canzoni” (Songs). Drawing on repertoire from Paolo Conte to Vinicio Capossela, Ennio Morricone to Rita Pavone and Subsonica to Negramaro, Chiara creates a celebration of love songs which looks out from Italy to the entire world. On Canzoni, her fifth studio album, Chiara has gathered an extraordinary array of collaborators: the monumental Gilberto Gil, the poetic Chico Buarque, the pop diva Ana Carolina and the jazz star Esperanza Spalding all lend their artistry to the project. The lush, almost hypnotic orchestral arrangements were conceived by the legendary Eumir Deodato. Chiara kicks-off her tour on Sunday October 11th at New York City’s famed Joe’s Pub, offering Italian music fans a fitting “festa” for Columbus Day eve. On Wednesday October 14th Chiara marks her return to Boston, the site where she marked a musical milestone becoming the first Italian artist signed to the iconic Verve Records label upon graduating the city’s renowned Berklee College of Music. Chiara visits her alma mater hosting a master class for Berklee students on October 13th before taking the stage at Scullers Jazz Club on the 14th. This Scullers set is part of the second edition of Boston’s Sounds of Italy Festival. Another festival appearance follows for Chiara in Miami as part of the annual Italian Hit Week on Sunday October 18th at the North Beach Bandshell. Washington DC and nation’s capital’s newest hotspot The Hamilton will host closing concert of the run on Monday October 19th.
